Jan 21 Fasting & Prayer Day 19 Devotional: Walk more in the spirit Part 2
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh…If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit Gal 5:16, 25
During a Fast, I grow in having my flesh is subdued, mortified; and my spirit is in ascendancy, more in control. I grow in more consistently walking in the spirit.
What does it mean to walk in the spirit, in order to live a victorious, holy, God-honoring, & purpose-fulfilling life?
Simply:
4. live in the Guidance / Leading of The Holy Spirit; hear & obey His Voice
5. Set my mind on things above
6. Pray in the spirit (in tongues)
2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit Said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away Acts 13
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace Rom.8
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God Rom. 8
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are Above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things Above, not on things on the earth Colossians 3
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit [in tongues] Jude 20
