Jan 20 Fasting & Prayer Day 18 Devotional: Walk more in the spirit Part 1
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh…If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit Gal 5:16, 25
Fasting & prayer help me to grow: to more consistently walk in the spirit
What does it mean to walk in the spirit, in order to live a victorious, holy, God-honouring, & purpose-fulfilling life?
Simply:
1.live in obedience to God’s Word
2.Walk in the counsel of God’s Word
3.Worship in spirit & truth: praise, worship, giving of my substance based on God’s Word, on spiritual conviction from my core; rather than the dictates of the flesh / situations
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life John 6
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth John 4
{In ‘truth’ =
– (as a born-gain) in Jesus, Who Is “The Way, The Truth & The Life…” Jn14:6
– according to God’s Word: [Set them apart] Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth Jn 17:17}
