Jan 22 Fasting & Prayer Day 20 Devotional: Filled with The Holy Spirit, Power & Fire🔥
During Fasting&Prayer I can experience The Holy Spirit baptism – for the 1st time. Or, if already so baptized, can grow in The Holy Spirit control over me; in His Power & Fire flowing out of me
Why? Because during a Fast, I am WAITING on The Lord & THIRSTY for the spiritual.
Behold [listen carefully]: I send the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you; but tarry [wait]…until you are endued [clothed, fully equipped] with power from on high Lk 24:49
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart [belly] will flow rivers of living water” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive… Jn 7
After Jesus’ Fast, He “…returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region” Lk 4:14
Not baptized with The Holy Spirit yet? Desire & be filled with God’s Spirit, His Power & Fire!
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I …He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire Mt 3:11
Already baptized with The Holy Spirit? Desire for His Zoe (Life), Power & contagious Zeal [Fire🔥] to flow out of you. Like rivers of living water…to nourish, refresh, heal, edify…
And when they [the disciples] had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness, Acts 4:31
